Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Engineer Chukwuemeka Woke has stated that the Wike administration will enhance key empowerment programmes for the people of the state.
Speaking during a luncheon for Ikwerre Elders and Chiefs on Monday , Engineer Woke noted that the Wike administration will continue to carry all communities along in the execution of key programmes.
Engineer Woke said: “The governor is the governor of Rivers State and he will reach out to all ethnic groups of the state. So far, the governor has done exceptionally well”.
The Chief of Staff added: “In the next two years, more empowerment programmes will come on stream. This administration is focused on reaching out to the people”.
According to him, before the end of the first term, more people will be reached through various empowerment packages by the Wike administration.
He urged the Ikwerre Elders and Chiefs to sustain their support for Governor Wike, assuring them that the governor will continue to work for the people.
Earlier, Chairman of the Ikwerre Elders and Chiefs, Prince Paul Wonodi said Ikwerre leaders must create the right environment for Governor Wike to deliver projects to the people of the state.
He charged Ikwerre leaders to work for peace in their respective communities, so that Governor Wike can work without distractions.
Wonodi said: “We must work for peace in all Ikwerre communities. This is not a partisan affair. We will support this administration to succeed for the benefit of the entire state.
“We must make sure there is peace in Ikwerre land. We need peace to ensure that the governor develops our communities “.
